Ashtown Catering Supplies Ltd were approached by Tracy to give just a small amount of Crockery to help with the setting up of a catering enterprise attached to the Community Centre in Arusha, Tanzania. The idea being that the ladies of the community would provide catering for the events eg weddings, first communions and conferneces, held in the Centre

After speaking with Tracy and Fr Mike,  Ashtown Catering's owner, Priscilla Grainger,  decided that they could do more than donate Crockery. So they did a list of stock that they knew could make a Commercial Kitchen. Some of the equipment was second hand & some was new. They got all the items together including Children’s Toys and Clothes for both Adults & Children.

Priscilla says 'I must say that this was a Great Project and I knew that the goods were going directly to the community and would be put to good use'

As you can see from the photos this is now a fully fledged commercial kitchen and so from a small request from Tracy, Ashtown Catering Supplies were able to give a little more and help this community with things that we take for granted in life can make the world of difference to their lives.
